Bismillah walhamdulillah…
Alhamdulillah, sudah berlalu separuh bulan Ramadhan. Bagaimana agaknya prestasi kita setakat ini? Sama-sama kita muhasabah diri. Saya kongsikan newsletter daripada Productive Muslim:
As we're approaching mid-Ramadan, we need to assess ourselves from every level and see how well we've done. We need to assess our Spiritual Productivity, Physical Productivity and Social Productivity.
Usually people can be divided into 3 categories around this time:
Category 1: Those who started well and continue to do well. These are the power starters and those who push themselves each and every day to make the most of Ramadan!
Category 2: Those who started well but slowly start to slip in their good deeds. These are the people who had an amazing strong start, but soon they relaxed and next thing they know their schedules have gone hay-wire.
Category 3: Those who had a bad start and they are not sure what they can do to get back up.
For those in Category 1, I say to them, may Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) keep you steadfast! Keep up the good work and never ever let go! It is as narrated in the hadith consistent good deeds is what Allah loves.
For those in Category 2, don't panic! Assess what needs to change in your life so you can get back on track, and set yourself a target to do better in the next 10 days. Don’t give up hope, the best part of this month is yet to come inshaAllah!
For those in Category 3, TODAY you must change! Get up now, make wudu', pray 2 rak'ah to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) and ask Him to help you make the most of Ramadan. Trust me, if you continue as you are, come end of Ramadan and you'll regret it, and by that time, it'll be too late and you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.
One of the biggest plagues of productivity is inconsistency. We do one thing for a few days then we drop it when we lose interest.
If you've been finding it hard lately to pick your copy of Quran and read that one-Juz', or to stand up for another 8 to 20 rak'aahs for taraweeh after Isha, or any other good deed you used to do at the beginning of Ramadan then dropped it, then I’ve a simple and practical advice for you:
JUST GET UP & DO IT!
Honestly, if you take one small step towards the good deed then you'll be a mile off before you know it inshaAllah. Just pick up that Quran and read it. Just stand up and pray those 2 rak'ahs, then the next one, and the next one. Just drive to that local charity group and volunteer your time so you are surrounded by other people doing good deeds.
Once you get into motion, your heart and mind will follow. You just have to make that first step.
InsyaAllah! ;)
"Orang kata selalunya bila dah lepas 3 bulan, dah mula berselera. Ni macam tak pun lagi..." Saya mengadu pada zauji. Tahu apa pula jawab zauji?
"Bila pulak yang berseleranya? Selalu makan 1, 2 lauk je. Lauk sama jeee..."
Saya selaku salah seorang AJK, haruslah join. Angkut zauji sekali! :D Seperti biasa, akan ada yang komen.
"Macam pasangan budak sekolah. Ingat tak kahwin lagi." Aiyoo! Perut dah ke depan dah ni kak! :D
Berbuka puasa, solat Maghrib, Isyak & terawih berjemaah.
p/s: Dah separuh Ramadhan, lagu-lagu raya sudah berkumandang. Baby pun dah confuse, "Dah raya ke Ummi?" :D
